This is a personal blog. I don't sell data, show ads or build profiles. This page explains every place where information about you can leave your browser while you're here, as required by the GDPR and Poland's Electronic Communications Law (Prawo komunikacji elektronicznej).

who is responsible

Farrukh Normuradov, Warsaw, Poland. You can reach me by email at [first-name].[last-name]@gmail.com (that is, my first and last name from this site, separated by a dot) or on Telegram.

what happens on every visit

Hosting. The site is served by Google's Firebase Hosting. To deliver pages and keep the service secure, Google processes technical connection data such as your IP address, the page you requested, and your browser's user agent. Legal basis: my legitimate interest in running a working website (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).

Cookie banner. The consent banner is a script loaded from FreePrivacyPolicy.com. It stores a cookie that remembers your choice so you aren't asked on every page. This is strictly necessary and needs no consent (Art. 399(3) of the Electronic Communications Law).

Theme setting. If you switch between light and dark mode, the choice is saved in your browser's local storage under color-scheme. It never leaves your device.

Fonts are served from this site itself, not from Google Fonts.

Nothing else loads unless you agree to it or click on it, as described below.

You choose this in the banner, and you can change your mind at any time under cookie settings in the footer. Withdrawing consent doesn't affect processing that already happened. Legal basis: your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a); Art. 399(1) of the Electronic Communications Law).

Google Analytics ("tracking"). It tells me which posts are read and roughly from where. Google Analytics sets the cookies _ga and _ga_* and sends pseudonymous usage data to Google. Data is kept for at most 14 months (the longest period Google Analytics allows) and then deleted automatically. Provider: Google Ireland Limited, with possible transfer to Google LLC in the USA.

only when you click

YouTube video. The video on the home page is a placeholder until you press play. It then loads from YouTube's privacy-enhanced domain (youtube-nocookie.com), and Google receives your IP address and may store data in your browser. Provider: Google Ireland Limited.

Comments. Comments under posts are GitHub issues in the public repository pharrukh/normuradov, shown through the open-source utterances widget. They load only when you press "Show comments", which connects your browser to utteranc.es and GitHub. If you comment, you do it with your GitHub account. Your comment is public and governed by GitHub's terms, and you can edit or delete it on GitHub. Provider: GitHub, Inc., USA.

Share links are ordinary links. Telegram or LinkedIn learn about your visit only if you click one.

Writing to me. If you email me or message me on Telegram, I use your address and message only to reply (Art. 6(1)(f)), and I delete them once the conversation is over unless you ask me to keep in touch. This site has no newsletter.

transfers outside the EU

Google and GitHub may process data in the USA. These companies are certified under the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework, which the European Commission has recognised as providing adequate protection (GDPR Art. 45).

your rights

You can ask me for access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, data portability, and you can object to processing based on legitimate interest (GDPR Art. 15–21). Write to me at the address above. You also have the right to complain to the Polish supervisory authority: Prezes Urzędu Ochrony Danych Osobowych, ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warszawa (uodo.gov.pl).

I don't use your data for automated decision-making or profiling.
